Is it just me, or is the same idiot being hired over and over again to book musical acts for football games? Remember Ashley Simpson performing at the Orange Bowl? Or how about this hot mess from last month?
Well now the Jonas Brotherswill be performing at halftime of the Dallas Cowboys/ Seattle Seahawks game on Thanksgiving. There’s nothing a group of 70,000 drunk, belligerent football fans want to see more than three tiny elfin men-children singing songs and prancing about.
If I’ve learned anything in my three decades on this earth, it’s that a violent game like football doesn’t incite violence, but bad music choice does. Last year I went to an Oakland Raiders game, and Frenchie Davis from American Idol sang the National Anthem. There were 447 stabbings that game. That’s up almost 22 from the Oakland Coliseum weekly average.
